Years 9 and 10

The year 9 and 10 classes have been organised in a way that will allow us to maintain many of the initiatives begun by the year 7 and 8 teams. Students are in the same class groups for English, Science, History, Geography and PD/Health/PE.

A Year 9 and 10 Mentor has been appointed to:

• Maintain the partnership with parents, begun by Year 7 and 8 Teams.

• Develop and maintain meaningful dialogue between the teachers of each class.

• Support the students in learning how to learn through further development of the learning habits.

• Develop the skills and provide opportunities for students to reflect on and evaluate their own learning.

The Teams Approach aims to foster the belief that learning is a life long process and that all students can achieve and be successful. This is a firm foundation on which to build the students' future education so that our students can successfully take their place in society upon leaving school.
