Gifted and Talented Program

Students who are identified as talented in their subject areas are given the opportunity to accelerate in particular subjects.  We have students at our school who have been accelerated in individual subjects such as Software Design and Development and Japanese.  Other students have been accelerated in all their subjects (advancing a school year) where they have been identified as gifted across all Key learning Areas.

Students who are interested in attending University Summer School Courses such as Scientia Challenges and Problem Solving and Communication in Science are supported in their endeavours by the school.

We want every boy to achieve to the best of his ability and to enjoy school and learning.  As part of this goal, we  want to ensure that every boy has the opportunity to engage in activities that extend his skills and interests.  We also wish to offer opportunities for students to meet others from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

There are many ways that students can participate in extension activities.  These include Tournament of Minds, Model United Nations Assembly Committee and numerous external competitions.
